I am honoured to be the Wildrose candidate for Bonnyville - Cold Lake. I have lived in the constituency all my life and have worked with and for the people here for almost 40 years, the last 30 plus years in local government. I would like to continue to serve the people of this constituency and this great province we live in.

I believe in the values and what the Wildrose Party stands for: less government, increased personal freedom, local decision making, free enterprise and it's democratic principles.

The present PC government is that in name only. It has left its founding principles behind. They are no longer progressive or conservative in their governing. I, like so many other people, am disillusioned in the direction our new Premier has taken. She continually flip flops on decisions, does not carry through on her promises and has no original ideas. Every major announcement so far has basically been cited from the Wildrose platform. The Wildrose had it first ... wouldn't you take the original rather than a copy? There is a saying ... often copied, never equalled. That is the case here. It is small wonder that so many PC MLA's are not running for re-election under her leadership. When you have a former Treasury Board President, the most powerful cabinet position next to the Premier, not get a cabinet post in her new cabinet, and now even resigns from the PC caucus totally, surely that is a clear sign this government is in absolute chaos.

It's time to get a government in place that has clear, concise and transparent direction. One that honours its citizen's values and respects them. It is time to give power back to the people and take it away from a government which thinks it knows what is better for you than you yourself.

We need a government that has a vision for the future of this province;  faith to believe in it's people and the courage to do what is right. The Wildrose is that government.
